Vampires, zombies, angels, and demons came together to dance the night away at the Sheraton Laguna Hotel the weekend before Halloween. Tropical Productions hosted the Grind House Halloween event on Saturday, October 29, 2017.

This event featured DJ Sylnt, Supagi, and DJ Jpogi. They put on a show lasted 2 a.m. There were no still feet on the dance floor that night.

By the end of the night, the DJs were able to make the crowd so pumped up, that part of the crowd climbed onto the stage and danced until the music was put to a stop.

Aside from the music, Tropical Productions made sure to provide drinks, food, and even a photo booth at the event.

Drinks were brought to us by Miller Lite and Sheraton Laguna Resort provided finger food that could be purchased as well.

To ensure the safety of others, security was also prevalent during Grind House. Before entering, a search was done with every individual to make sure that no one walked in with potential weapons.

Lance Gogue attended the event dressed in a baywatch lifeguard costume. Gogue sported a stunning red jacket and flashing red shorts.

Gogue said he wanted to go with a 1990’s theme this Halloween, which is why he decided to dress up as a character from the famous show, Baywatch.

Although his red attire was definitely eye-catching that night, he says that the best costume he saw that night was a man dressed up in a T-Rex suit.

Gogue said the Grind house provided an opportunity for him to spend time with his friends and step away from boredom this Halloween. “What better way to spend Halloween than to party with friends.”

Shaine Munoz, was another attendee at the event. Munoz was covered with bloody wounds and dressed up as a trauma victim. As costume props, he carried an IV bag filled with red liquid that looked like blood and both of his legs were wrapped with a tourniquet with fake blood rolling down under it.

Munoz decided to go as a trauma victim because he is a medic in the military so he was provided with the materials for his costume already.

“I told myself if I did not have a costume, I was not going to go. Having the supplies already really came in handy,” Munoz described.

Munoz explained that even though tickets were available for purchase for $20, attending he even was worth every penny. Seeing and spending time with his friends was the highlight of his night.

“It isn’t too often where we can all get together, have some drinks, dance and enjoy ourselves.” Munoz said.
