On Oct. 8, Triton’s Call will be going in its fiftieth year.<\/p>\n

The first issue was published on Oct. 8, 1965 with its first editor, Ron Archibald.<\/p>\n

As part of the celebration, the University of Guam Communication Society and Lamda Pi Eta (Alpha Beta Eta Chapter) will be hosting an event.<\/p>\n

The “Triton’s Call 50th Birthday” will include a balloon drop event.<\/p>\n

Balloons are filled with “golden” tickets and cash.<\/p>\n

Balloons will be thrown from the second floor English and Communications building and attendees are asked to pop the balloons to claim a prize.<\/p>\n

The event is open to the public.<\/p>\n

Golden tickets are numbered to match a prize that include: Crowns Guam gear, Bank of Guam gift sets, Tango Theaters gift certificates, UOG gear, and more.\u00a0Cake will also be served.<\/span><\/p>\n
