A Student Role Model

Celine Comia is a Business major at the University of Guam with a concentration of Human Resources. Since elementary school, Comia has shown outstanding academic achievements.

From winning 2nd place in the all island science fair in elementary school, to joining the National Junior Honor Society in middle school, becoming president of her Junior Achievement company and her high school class, Comia has exceeded expectations of her teachers and fellow classmates.

She received the Merit Scholarship after graduating high school and is now working at Three Squares restaurant while balancing a social life. Comia has ended up on the Dean’s List for every semester she has attended UOG.

“My parents really pushed me to have the habits of being a good student” she said. Comia is looking towards becoming a Society of Human Resource certified professional which will help out her career drastically.

Comia is a role model to many of her friends. She shows a positive attitude to those who need guidance.

“I learned from an article that storytelling helps to motivate employees in work and students in school,” Comia said. “In work and in school, hearing stories of success helped me. So when I have a good experience, or achievement, I like to share it with others so they can have drive.” Comia is set to graduate spring semester of 2018 and is excited to hit the real world.
